Submit a Shark

Thank you for visiting our submission page.

Photos/videos taken under the surface of the water are preferred. However, we also welcome photos/video where the species can be clearly identified from above the surface of the water (outline of the shark clearly seen, identifying features clearly visible, breaching shark, etc.).

You will be asked to provide the following information (* = required fields):

• Your name*

• Your email address*

• Date of sighting*

• Time of sighting*

• Location of sighting [GPS coordinates (preferred), known site name, description using known landmarks/directions/distances, etc.]*

• Activity engaged in at time of sighting (SCUBA diving, snorkeling, whale watching, recreational fishing, etc.)

• Species of shark

• Approximate size of shark

• Photographer’s name*

All copyrights are maintained by the original photographer.

By submitting your photo/video, you give permission for The Ippen Foundation and Kanaloa Project to use the image(s) for research purposes, to be maintained in a database(s), and for media and/or promotional purposes.
